Made to Order
My work is lovingly handcrafted in small batches, ensuring attention to detail and minimizing waste. By intentionally avoiding overstocking and keeping a limited inventory, I make a conscious sustainability choice, creating only what is needed. While some pieces may be in stock and ready to ship, many are made to order to reduce unnecessary production.
Although most orders are completed and shipped within a few days to a week, please allow up to 3 weeks for your jewelry to be handcrafted.
If you need your piece(s) by a specific date or would like an estimate for how long it will take, contact me prior to placing your order. I'm here to assist you and make sure you receive your piece(s) in a timely manner.
Custom Work
While I don't offer full customization services, I am more than happy to accommodate certain modifications to my existing designs, allowing you to create a piece that feels uniquely yours. If you come across a design that resonates with you but envision some simple changes that would make it even more perfect, let's have a conversation! Here are some of the modifications I'm open to, although this list is not exhaustive:
-Adjusting the chain length
-Selecting different stone(s)
-Choosing a different ear wire style
-Altering the orientation of a stone
Please note that depending on the materials and labor involved in the redesign, there may be an additional fee. However, in many cases, the cost remains similar to that of the original piece. Don't hesitate to reach out and share your ideas with me. Together, we can explore the possibilities.
Shipping
I offer free shipping via USPS First Class Mail, regardless of your order's total value. If you'd prefer a different shipping carrier or faster delivery, I'm more than happy to explore alternative options for you. Please note that any additional shipping methods or carriers may incur extra charges, which will be the responsibility of the customer. Feel free to get in touch, and I'll gladly assist you in finding the best shipping solution to meet your needs.
Currently, my website is set up to provide shipping within the United States only. However, if you're interested in international shipping, please reach out to me with your shipping address. I'll be happy to assist you in determining if shipping is possible and provide you with the associated cost. I'm here to help make it possible for you to receive your order, no matter where you are in the world!
Returns
I want you to LOVE your jewelry! If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you can return the item(s) within 7 days after the order is delivered. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping and original shipping costs (if any) are not refunded. Item(s) must be unworn, undamaged and returned in original packaging. Please contact me to begin the return process.
Once the returned item is received and inspected your refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please note, it can take 5-10 business days for the return to be processed.
Pieces that have been customized may or may not be returnable.
Resizing
Not all pieces can be resized but please contact me to inquire. Resizing fees are determined on a case by case basis at the time of resizing. Often times, a piece can simply be exchanged for the correct size.
Repairs
Each piece is carefully handcrafted to ensure quality; however, it's important to remember that jewelry is not indestructible and occasional breakages can occur. In such cases, I am here to help you with the repair process. If your jewelry sustains any damage, please email me at stephanie@showellstudios.com, providing a detailed description and photo(s) of the issue.
I understand that accidents happen and I assess each repair inquiry on a case-by-case basis. After evaluating the damage, I will promptly provide you with a personalized quote for the cost of the repair. Simple repairs are often done free of charge, but the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping.
Please be aware that repairs may not be possible for pieces showing signs of improper care or extensive tarnish, as outlined in the Jewelry Care page. Additionally, the availability of stones or the complexity of the damage may limit my ability to repair certain pieces. Rest assured, I will always strive to find the best solution for your damaged S. Howell Studios jewelry. Please note, I do not repair jewelry made by other designers.
I appreciate your understanding that some repairs may involve additional costs or be declined if they are incompatible with the original design or beyond feasible repair. Your satisfaction is important to me, and I'm committed to providing you with professional and attentive assistance throughout the repair process.
